Ure, Richard

Peacefully, at the age of 52, at the Central West Hospice on September 27th after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 16, 1961 in London, Ontario to Camm and Mary Ure. Rick was an honest, humorous and hard working man who spent his life putting the interests of his familly, friends and customers ahead of his own. He was a proud contractor for more than 25 years and found great satisfaction in a job well done. Many examples of his work will remain as reminder to us of the impact he had on our lives. Everyone who knew him would agree that he truly had a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed.

Rick was with us through the passing of our parents, Camm and Mary and his younger brother Brian(Collette). He is survived by his sisters, Suzanne and Sandy, brother Jeff (Belinda). Outstanding and caring uncle to Cameron, Robin, Joshua, Alexandra, David and Ryan.

We would like to thank everyone who aided in his care. Many people came together to make his final time comfortable. A special thanks to Dr. Hacker, Ruth, Rosemary and all the wonderful staff at the Central West Hospice.

A private family Funeral Service will be held at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre on his birthday, October 16th. A celebration of his life will be held at the Prescott on October 16th starting at 5:30pm. All who knew him are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, we would be grateful if donations in memory of Rick could be made to the Central West Hospice.
