Laughter and love abounded at the weekly Sunday night dinners always ending with her amazing lemon meringue pie. No meal was complete until Norma remembered the jellied salad, forgotten in the fridge. Norma had a fantastic sense of humour and a personal commitment to ensure all those around her were loved. Norma's kindness touched all those that she knew, helping the less fortunate and her family. She was the rock within the family.

A celebration of her life will be held at Beechwood, Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Heart and Stroke Foundation heartandstroke.com or the Soldier On Fund cfmws.com.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her over the past twelve years at Longfields Manor with special thanks to Pauline Stevenson as well as the amazing and compassionate staff at Queensway Carleton Hospital.
