PASTUCH, Michael Robert

It is with heavy hearts and deep, deep sadness, that we share with you that Mike's pain and suffering has ended. Surrounded by his family, he passed away at home on October 30 one day after his 58th birthday. Beloved husband of Edie. Loving father of Colin (Beth). Cherished son-in-law of Anita Loepp. Dear brother-in-law of Rudi Loepp (Barb), Ingrid Loepp-Thiessen (Jim), Heidi Hughes (Paul) and Karl Loepp (Gayda). Proud uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Great friend and buddy of many. Mike was predeceased by his parents Anne and Mike in 1985 and father-in-law Henry in 2002.
Mike graduated from the University of Winnipeg and moved to Ottawa for his career at the Canada Revenue Agency. Mike was an avid golfer, curler and pool player. In 2011, he was planning to retire to start his new career as a full time musician and master of all games when he was struck by cancer. Despite his dim prognosis he continued to live his life to the fullest. He will be remembered for his love for life, family, friends and golden voice. He is no longer suffering and is now singing in heaven. Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue (East of Vanier Parkway), Monday, November 3, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 3 p.m. in the Sacred Space.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.
