William "Steve" Mullins WO (Ret'd) Canadian Armed Forces

March 21, 1968 -  July 7, 2017

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Warrant Officer (ret’d) William Steven “Steve” Mullins, at the age of 49 on July 7th, 2017. Steve passed away in his sleep after a courageous battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Steve proudly served his country for over 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, from the frigid Arctic to the deserts of Afghanistan.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Bonnie; two sons Christian (Carrie) and Ryan (Erika); mother Anna; three brothers Ronald (Brenda), Gerald (Rita), Kevin (Michelle); a special canine companion Jessie James, and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Gerald Mullins.

The family will be receiving friends at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Thursday, July 13th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in Beechwood’s Sacred Space, followed by interment in The National Military Cemetery located at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any mental health charity of choice.
