In Celebration of

Teresa Mary Joan Nolan

October 28, 1929 -  August 3, 2018

NOLAN (DIMOCK), TERESA Mary Joan
B: 28 October 1929, Campbellton, NB
Retired CRA

We are saddened to announce the passing of Teresa (Terry) during the early hours of August 3rd..
Teresa is survived by Jack, her devoted husband of 67yrs., and her loving family, daughter Jo-Anne, & granddaughter Julie Nantais (partner Sheridan Grout).
She was pre-deceased by her parents Annie Trites & Albert (Ferdie) Dimock, siblings Edward (Laura), Ronald (Thelma), Veronica Anich, & Eva Korun (Boris). Survived by brother-in-law Pete Anich, & her many nieces & nephews.
Teresa was devoted to God & family. Her life revolved around caring for those around her, be they family, friends, or strangers. She happily baked for soup kitchens, and lent her efforts to several other charities. Always active & involved.
Her favourite times were family gatherings where everyone would sit around her bountiful table to enjoy one of Teresa's gourmet meals, complete with great conversation, & much laughter. Her baking & cooking skills are legendary. She was the keeper of family history, & could always be counted on to tell a lively story or two!
Together with Jack, they were the Dynamic Duo, & built a wonderful life for their family. She will be missed immensely.
The family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to all the compassionate individuals at the Montfort Hospital who took such loving care of Teresa for the past 11 months, & also to family & friends who offered their support throughout. Thank you all.
Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Friday, August 31 from 6-8 PM.
The Funeral Service will be held in the Sacred Space of Beechwood on Saturday, September 1 at 11AM with internment to follow.
If desired, donations may be made in Teresa's name to the Ottawa Mission, or St. Margaret Mary's R.C. Church, or Our Resurrection of the Lord R.C. Church.

Uncle Jack, Jo-Anne and Julie, my heart goes out to you over the loss of Aunt Teresa. I know how hard it is to say good-bye to those we love and while it may be a blessing for those going to heaven, our lives will never be the same.

We are visiting with Cy & Theresa in Halifax right now, and Cy and I remembered our Mom this morning, as Eva left us way too early, 23 years ago today. We know that she is welcoming her sister in heaven and that alone offers a little reprieve from this sad time.

I will always remember the visits to your home, where Aunt Teresa welcomed us with open arms and her infectious smile. My only wish is that we had lived closer as we were growing up, as I know Mom very much missed her family, and I always wanted to be closer to my aunts, uncles and cousins.

Aunt Teresa (and Uncle Jack) brought me back to Ottawa one summer when you were visiting us out west. For two weeks, as a young teenager, I was totally spoiled by a loving and caring family who went out of their way to make me feel very special. It is a time that I hold dear to my heart and I will always remember Aunt Teresa's kindness, and her special laugh, and only wish I had been able to spend more special moments with her and the rest of you.

Love and hugs to all of you, and while we will not be able to be there in person for the funeral, we will be there in spirit and say a special prayer for Aunt Teresa on that day.

Jack and family
My condolences to you and your family on the passing of Teresa. I know that it is hard to bear now, but remember that death is only the end of physical life and beginning of eternal life. Just know that I am here for you. My fond memories from the Montfort Hospital bring you comfort during this hard time. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Aunt Teresa was a blast to be around. Such a generous, giving lady. Always a great time joking with each other. Judy and I will sorely miss her!! May she rest in peace.
