Passed away peacefully at Colonel By Retirement Residence on Sunday, February 4, 2018; age 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret June Farmer (Eastham). Loving father of Diane Perazzo (Richard), Michael (Kendal) and Douglas. Grandfather of Colin, Cameron, Evan and Elyse. Great-grandfather of Kallum.

Born in Woodstock New Brunswick in 1926, Rev. Farmer was the son of the late John Owen Farmer and Ruth Hope Farmer (White). Farmer joined the Black Watch Regiment in 1961 and served as a Chaplain in the Canadian Military until he retired in 1981 and built a home in Westport Ontario. Devastated by his wife’s early passing in 2001 Rev. Farmer moved to Ottawa to be closer to his family.

Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa). Rev Farmer will be interred in the National Military Cemetery of Canada located at Beechwood Cemetery and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
