January 1, 1935 - February 27, 2019

We announce the passing of Phyllis Carruthers in hospital, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the age of 84. Mom married Ross Carruthers, who predeceased her in 2009, in May 1954, and was the mother of Kirk (Sheila) and Karen Ganong (Fred). Predeceased by James (1971). Born January 1, 1935 in Kearney, Ontario to Gordon Huffman and Marjorie Hayes. Dear sister of Gladys Irwin (late Bob), Thomas Huffman (Faye), and late Dennis Huffman (Susan). Grandmother of Jaime and Christopher Carruthers (Kathryn) and Corey and Andrew Ganong (Jessica). Great-grandmother of Brody Rochford, Camden and Kennedy Carruthers and Stella Ganong.

Reception at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, Monday, March 4, 2019, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Interment to follow. In Memoriam, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society is appreciated.
