February 25, 1937 - July 9, 2018

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday, July 9, 2018, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Arthur Murray. Loving mother of Sandra (Marc), Lynne (Glenn) and Danielle (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Nicolas and Eric Leduc, Marika and Leah Honiball, Jeremie and Jacob Charron. Born in La Malbaie, Charlevoix, Québec to Gérard and Germaine Lapointe. Sister of Esther (Robert) Lapointe, Marc (Louisette) Lapointe and the late Solange Lapointe. Monique will be sadly missed by many for her generosity, compassion and joie de vivre. The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff of the Neurology and ICU departments of the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their exceptional care.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Sunday, July 15, 2018 between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to remember Monique and a service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 2 p.m. Interment to take place privately, where Monique will join her late husband in the National Military Cemetery, located at Beechwood Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Monique may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society. Messages of Condolence may be left at www.beechwoodcemetery.com
