In Celebration of

Mary Eva Norris

March 21, 1939 -  September 8, 2018

Passed away peacefully at home on September 08, 2018. She died after a short fight with cancer. Wife to Denis Deslauriers. Beloved mother to, Michael Donnahee (Gail), Donna Roy(Colin), Tom Donnahee (Lori Dale), and Peter Donnahee(Bev). Grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She did enjoy a good game of cards, but also enjoyed making a good home cooked meal for family gatherings. She started a career as a Nurse in a Halifax hospital followed by working for a few years in a nursing home before doing private child care. She moved to the Ottawa region to follow her husband in his Military career. Predeceased by her sister Joan and June. Mary always enjoyed taking care of others.

The family would like to thank the following agencies that made her care at home possible, LIHN, Bayshore Home care solutions and Community care therapy.

A private interment will be held at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces, located at Beechwood Cemetery (Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario). In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated.
