Liz,

Please accept my sincere condolences. I wish I could attend in person to tell you how sad this makes me, but I am currently away with work. Kevin will always be remembered for that amazing laugh and how he always lifted the spirits of the room. I have so many fond memories with him since first meeting in 1999. To say he will be missed is an understatement.

You will be in my thoughts,

Brian

Im deeply saddened by Kev's sudden passing. He was a highly skilled and experienced SOF warrior whom I very much respected. I already miss riding with him, but will remember him most for his kind heart and contagious laugh. He is a warm Spirit.

Yesterday the world lost a Billionaire…... Kevin L was easily one of the most successful military members I have ever meet and as well the wealthiest individual I know.  How could Kevin have it all and how did he amass such wealth?!  PLEASE read on.

A Harvard Study was done and is continuing to be followed.  This study identified a group of men, some came from wealthy families, some from poor families, some with high levels of education, some with less education.  They were all asked every single year a series of questions but the underlying meaning of the questions were are you happy.  After 40 years the results are in.  No matter the material wealth, financial wealth, social status, professional status none of these were an indicator of happiness.  When individuals were self identified as Happy some were poor, some were rich, some had, some had not but what they ALL had was deep meaningful relationships with family and friends.  That was the only unifying point that was an indicator of Happiness or a real measure of success and wealth.

With this new found metric of success and wealth I truly believe Kevin Lindsay was a Billionaire!!  Kevin invested in people!!  Kevin invested in relationships! Kevin’s investments were very fruitful.

Please allow me to follow up with a small story to demonstrate this.  During one of his bouts with Cancer I swung by his house to have a friendly visit as I new he was going through a particularly hard time.  He had bone cancer and had lost so much weight he was like a skeleton, he was in a body brace for fear he would break his back or neck as his bones were so brittle, he was in constant pain simply breathing.  I went there to comfort him and some how he identified issues going on in my life and helped me through them.  He simply would not focus on his own suffering but wanted to be of service to me…….to all of us. Thank you Kevin.

I will use your life and death Kevin to make myself a better human being.  I will invest MORE time in building my wealth (friendships) like you have shown me.  Kevin I love you.  I found this note in my wallet from you and I procrastinated getting back to you cuz life was too hectic.  I have and will learn from this mistake for the rest of my life.  There ALWAYS time to shot a quick message to someone even if it is just a simple "Hey, thinking of you”.

Folks build your wealth for Kevin please reach out to one person right NOW who you have been procrastinating to give a shout.
