I wish to express my sincere condolences to Isabelle and the rest of the Family. John was a much respected, dear friend. His loss is felt by all those who knew him or had the privilege of working with him during his illustrious military career and later the Public Service. It is my honour to convey the many condolences expressed to his Family by the former Hungarian Defence Forces Logistics organization leadership of MGen Dobo, BGen Keszthelyi et al. John was considered by them a dear friend and an esteemed colleague. Globally, John's contribution to the international relationship building arena is immeasurable, his contributions, efforts, and achievements on behalf of the Canadian Forces were stellar and very much appreciated by all. May you rest in peace my friend, you will be sadly missed!

In these moments of loss, words are useless.

May our tears of sadness become tears of joy in remembering John. He did it his way.
