La famille Chakra a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Joanne Chakra (née Bourdeau), décédée le 16 mars 2017 à l’âge de 62 ans, entourée des siens, après un long et courageux combat contre le cancer. Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Robert, ses fils Frédéric (Christina) et Mathieu, et ses petits-enfants Julien et Penelope.

La famille recevra les condoléances au Cimetière et service funéraires Beechwood, 280 avenue Beechwood, Ottawa, le samedi 25 mars à compter de 11h. Un service de prières suivra à midi.

La famille remercie Lyse Edward et famille, Dr Roanne Segal, Dr D. Vincent, Dr G. Michael pour leur soutient et pour les excellents soins. Vos témoignages de sympathies peuvent se traduire par un don à la Société canadienne du cancer, à la Fondation de l’Hôpital d’Ottawa ou à la Maison des soins palliatifs d’Ottawa (May Court Hospice).

Passed away surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on March 16, 2017 at the age of 62. Beloved wife of Robert, cherished mother of Frédéric (Christina) and Mathieu as well as loving grandmother of Julien and Penelope.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Saturday, March 25 from 11 a.m. A prayer service will follow at 12 p.m.

Special thanks to Lyse Edward and family, Dr. Roanne Segal, Dr. D. Vincent, Dr. G. Michael for their support and excellent care. Donations in Jo-Anne’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation or Hospice Care Ottawa (May Court Hospice).

My very deepest sympathies to Robert and the family for the loss of this amazing woman. She was very courageous and fought so hard against this disease that had taken a hold. She had an incredible will to live and enjoy her wonderful family that she cherished so much. I guess the fight just became too hard at the end. I am so grateful that on March 15th, the family allowed me to say my good byes to my dear friend. I will miss her greatly. XXOO

My sincere condolences to Robert and all of JoJo's family. She is truly an angel in heaven and fought a very long and hard battle. She is now free of pain and I'm sure she is watching over you especially her grandbabies who she adored. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
