It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Hilkka. She is survived by husband David and son Marcus (Theresa), as well as friends here and family in Finland. Predeceased by son Jamie and her parents. A devoted wife and mother, Hilkka will most be remembered as a vibrant, creative gal, an accomplished seamstress and knitter with an exceptional talent for colour and design in a variety of craft work. Hilkka wore her Finnish upbringing proudly and, true to her heritage, had strong opinions on any subject being discussed. As per Hilkka's request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Hilkka's memory to the CHEO Foundation of Ottawa are appreciated.
