It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Elizabeth “Betty” in her 87th year, on April 6th, 2017.

Born June 8th, 1930 in Basingstoke, England, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude and Harold Lipscomb.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Yost, daughter Alison Clohessy (Australia) and son David Yost (Caryn) (Virginia, USA).

Betty was an athlete, in her youth she was a champion cyclist and badminton player. As an adult she was an avid aerobics instructor.

Both parents and her brother Bill preceded her along with her son-in-law, Kim.

A Visitation will take place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Thursday, April 13th at 1pm followed by the Funeral Service and Reception.
