In Celebration of

Edward Glen Bosada

The Bosada Family, a family grieving, announces, with great sadness and love, the passing of their beloved Edward. Eddie passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Sunday, January 6, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends. Eddie was born in Cochrane, Ontario and later moved to Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec with the family. From there, he spent the rest of his life here in Ottawa where the Bosada family resided and where Eddie devoted his life to caring for his elderly parents. He was gentle, free-spirited, charitable, humorous, kind and adventurous. His creative mind and warm sense of humor gave us all years of joy. Predeceased by his parents, Taffy & Lottie (nee Boosamra), siblings Vivian Assaf, Lloyd, Joan Kouri, Eleanor Ross and Robert and his nephew Billy and niece Barb. Survived by his sister Gloria Haddad and his brother Richard. He will be deeply missed by his nieces Stephanie, Allison, Quinn and his nephew Gregory, and all of his loving friends, all of whom generated a warm and admiring smile from him. What he was is captured by these words, “I am free to fly on wind, to catch the breeze floating where I please. I am free to shine with the sun, to light up the day. In my own special way, I am free without my body, to live on in your memory.” We will treasure the fond memories he blessed us with. In Eddie’s memory, donations are welcome at the Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral at www.ottawacathedral.org. Please send condolences to Beechwood at www.beechwoodottawa.ca. A private ceremony will be held to celebrate Edwards’s life.

Margaret Lapointe Burns (Friend of brother Bob)

Dear Bosada family, although I never knew Eddie I was a friend of Bob’s. Bob often spoke of his brother Eddie. Bob and I attended high school in Noranda, and got to know each other better when we would ride the train together when he attended UCC and I was at Branksome Hall in Toronto. He took me to dinner at his sister’s restaurant in Toronto, and later visited me when I was a student nurse at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. He called his brother Eddie “Mr.Wonderful”. My father who ran a construction company (Hill Clark Francis) in Noranda knew Bob’s Dad Taffy Bosada. Bob and I lost touch for many years and I was saddened to hear that he had died much too soon.
Please accept my sympathies in the loss of Eddie. Sincerely, Margaret (Lapointe) Burns.
