Jimmy was one of the best men we ever knew. He was kind, giving, loving and loyal. He was a big part of my family and we are going to have a hole in our hearts forever. He was a chosen father and grandfather to myself, my husband and my children. He was always there to help with anything you needed! He was the best cook, he made so many beautiful meals for us and we loved to eat and drink and laugh together! We loved all his stories of his childhood, his life in Greece, his move to Canada, his life with Helen and his kids and grandkids. Any story Jimmy told always had us captivated and laughing along with him. He was so proud of his family, and he loved to talk about all their achievements. Anyone who ever met him knew right away that he had a good heart. Jimmy, we love you, life is never going to be the same without you. We know that you are with Helen now and you are cooking some amazing Greek Food for God. Rest In Peace our forever friend. We promise we will cook your food and pass down your recipes and as you always said, “The secret ingredient is love!”
Love you forever and always Jim.

It has been an incredible difficult time, wrapping my head around the loss of one of the most incredible people I had the absolute pleasure of knowing. Jimmy, you will always be in my heart, I can't imagine this life without you. The man who was invincible to me, so generous, with unconditional love, a natural care and concern and an incredible listener. I sit here with tears in my eyes, and yet I smile when I think of all the things you taught us and how to appreciate the simple things in life. I remember picking leaves on the side of the road, to make your amazing Greek grape leaves, grocery shopping, the fresh vegetables you proudly brought from your garden and your cooking classes. We had great weekend visits over morning coffees, you reminiscing while Glen and I hung on every word as you always told the best stories with a mischievous twinkle in your eye. I still remember them all. I can honestly say, I have never meant anyone like Jimmy, he was one of kind, there will never be another. I know that and we are beyond blessed to have had our time with him. When I look at your picture, and I smile because I believe you knew how much you meant to us all and I know you are at peace now with your forever love, Helene. You are one in a million and irreplaceable and you have had a prolific affect on us. You will be forever loved and in our heart always.
