William Beatty “Bill” Sterne passed away at Royal University Hospital Saskatoon on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Loving husband of Fay. An inspiration and dedicated father to his sons Karl, Greg and Ian. A much loved grandfather to Fay, Cameron, Nicole, Rhiannon, Leigha, and Connor, and great-grandfather to Mateo, Micah & Alicia. Survived by his brother Robert. Remembered fondly by his extended family that stretch across Canada.

Bill dedicated his life to others as a distinguished member of the RCAF. He flew as a navigator on CF-100 and CF-101s in his early career. Later serving at NDHQ, NORAD and as Military Attaché to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Remembered fondly by colleagues with which he served and friends, he will be deeply missed.

Friends are invited to visit the Borden & Fleming Suites of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood ave. (east of Vanier Parkway) Saturday October 13th. after 9 a.m. followed by a Memorial at 10 a.m. Urn interment will be held at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces at at 11:00 a.m.
