In Celebration of

Wendy Joan Johnson

June 3, 1950 -  December 9, 2018

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Wendy Joan Johnson. She died due to complications arising from pneumonia. Wendy spent the last 15 years battling Multiple Sclerosis.

Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Gladys Eastman and brother Garth, she will be missed by her loving husband Henry Johnson, her brother Douglas (Janet) Eastman, her daughters Tara (Jason Oates) and Erin (Joseph Ruscica), and grandchildren Kailey and Kyler, Emily and William.

Wendy spent a happy childhood in the prairies and moved with her family to Ottawa where she attended high school and college. She met Henry and they married in 1973. She became a dedicated working mother, balancing demands of a teaching career while providing her family with continuous love and support.
She will be remembered in both personal and professional life for her wisdom, honesty, dedication to others, and for time and effort she spent connecting with others.

Friends and Family are invited to a Celebration of Wendy’s Life at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montfort Hospital or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
