Theodore Politis
May 19, 1945-August 10, 2017

Peacefully at Elisabeth Bruyère Hospital, at age 72, following a courageous fight with kidney cancer complicated by multiple-myeloma. The first son of the late Petros and Sofia Politis, he was born and raised in Magouliana, Greece and served his military duties as a Lieutenant after attending College for Advanced Electronics in Athens Greece. He immigrated to Canada arriving in Montreal in April 1971 where he learned French and English. Employed for most his career by Combustion Engineering and Alstom Power, he also served as the General Manager of a subsidiary, Optimum Controls.
Beloved husband of the late Rita Politis (Poirier) and father of Pierre Politis (Vanessa) and Alexandre. He leaves behind his much admired sister Efstathia Alexopoulou and her children Kostas, Petros and Angelos and their families, his beloved brother Elias (Maria Teresa) and their children Valentina, Petros, Diego, Alejandro and Paloma Sofia Esmeralda, all of whom he loved dearly to his last breath. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends who truly loved and respected him.

Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood, Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa from 5-8pm on Sunday, August 13th. A Trisagion prayer will take place at 7pm.
Funeral will be held at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 1315 Prince of Wales Dr., on Monday, August 14th at 10:30am with burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
