Suzanne Yvette Binet (Née Chartrand)

March 6, 1953 -  June 16, 2018

Après un long et courageux combat contre le cancer, Suzanne est décédée le 16 juin 2018 à l’âge de 65 ans. Elle a été prédécédée par Guy Binet, son mari dévoué, le 19 juin 2017. Elle laisse trois filles, Geneviève (Dawolu Saul), Hélène « Nalini » et Mireille (Mark Miller), quatre petits-enfants, Tristan et Amélie Saul, Zara et Zurich Miller, sa mère Georgette Chartrand (Rochon) et quatre frères, Alain, Pierre (Maryvonne), Robert (Bonnie) et Philippe. Suzanne sera manquée par plusieurs nièces, neveux et amis.
La famille accueillera parents et amis au Cimetière et Services funéraires Beechwood, 280 avenue Beechwood, Ottawa, le jeudi 21 juin de 17h à 20h. Les funérailles en présence des cendres auront lieu le vendredi 22 juin à 14h à l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste, 96 avenue Empress, Ottawa. La famille vous invite à l’inhumation qui suivra au Cimetière Beechwood ainsi qu’à la réception qui aura lieu en son honneur. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Fondation Flutter de Valérie ou le Cancer de l’ovaire Canada sont appréciés.


After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Suzanne died on June 16, 2018 at the age of 65. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Guy Binet, on June 19, 2017. She leaves behind 3 daughters: Geneviève (Dawolu Saul), Hélène “Nalini” and Mireille (Mark Miller), 4 grandchildren: Tristan and Amélie Saul, Zara and Zurich Miller, her mother Georgette Chartrand (Rochon) and 4 brothers: Alain, Pierre (Maryvonne), Robert (Bonnie) and Philippe. Suzanne will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Thursday, June 21,2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Saint-Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church (96 Empress Ave, Ottawa) at 2:00 p.m. In honour of Suzanne’s memory, guests are encouraged to attend the interment and reception that will immediately follow the Memorial Service back at Beechwood Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in her memory, you may do so to Valerie’s Flutter Foundation or to Ovarian Cancer Canada.

My condolences. I worked with her husband many years ago and I remember a day when I helped her get into her car after she had locked herself out. The next day she made me muffins and made Guy deliver them to me....not something that Guy would ever do! :)
I hope she is in a better place with Guy and that you all have fond memories of her.
