Wife of 45 years to forever friend, Al Bowness. Mother of Greg (Tracy), Vicki (Geoff Rowland). Loves of my life! Grandmother (Nana) to Holly, Ryan and Emily. Know that you will be forever loved. You filled Nana’s heart with love and happiness.
Born to Cyril and Eleanor Edison at Banting Memorial Hospital, Old Site of Gander International Airport. My Maternal grandparents; predeceased Herbert “Skipper” Toms; Maud (Purchase) “Of the love that swells a Child’s Heart” – I never forgot.
My paternal grandparents, Jacob and Minnie (Jones) Edison. Northern Arm, Botwood. I was one of 44 cousins. Five Paternal uncles, 2 aunts. Much love and happiness within my memories of our Edison Family.
My mother-in-law Margaret Bowness; father-in-law, the late Bob Bowness of Moncton. My inherited in-law siblings; George, Drew, Nancy and Mary Joan; their extended families.
For those who loved, respected, believed in me; never let go of me; you were the reason for my forever smile and happiness. I will be that twinkling star far up in the sky, that tap on your shoulder, your Christmas angel. Leaving behind to you peace and please don’t grieve for me. Just know I want nothing but happiness and good faith to follow you all, forever.

Friends are invited to gather Friday January 27, 2017 at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood ave. (east of Vanier Parkway), Ottawa, after 2 p.m. Interment ceremony will be held at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces at 3 p.m. followed by a reception in honour of Susan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
