In Celebration of

Stephen Alan Troy

May 27, 1952 -  November 29, 2018

Troy, Stephen Alan
I lost my husband and my best friend Stephen Alan Troy on 29 November 2018.
He was born in Perth, New Brunswick and although he lived in Europe most of his early life, he was at heart always a New Brunswick boy. He served in the Canadian Coast Guard for 35 years from 1974 to 2009. He was passionate about social values and spent much of his time after retirement on volunteer work for various organizations; Ontario Soccer Association, Conservative Party and the National Association of Federal Retirees.
He had a great passion for books, music, soccer; in particular Everton Football Club (Nil Satis Nisi Optimum) and most of all for his family. His wife, Gillian; daughter and son, Samantha (Andrew) and Jon, his grandchildren, Quin and Matilda, his parents, Alan and Betty, his sister, Barbara (Richard), and his in-laws Ron and Beryl, Trevor (Jane) as well as his nieces and nephews.
Friends and Family are invited to visit at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM until a Celebration of Stephen’s Life at 11:00 AM.
We love you and miss you terribly.

Gillian - so sorry for your Loss. My sincere Condolences to you and your family. Steve made my time at Coast Guard enjoyable, whether it be discussions about work or more importantly tales about New Brunswick! He will be missed and I am sure there will stories shared at the CCG Coffee Table next week.

Gillian and family,

Very sorry to learn of Steve's passing. He was a true gentlemen, who made a significant contribution to the "beautiful game" in Eastern Ontario as EODSA President.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Regards,

Peter and Gillian Studer
