It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marcy Maddison, loving daughter, sister, and auntie, announce her sudden passing on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the age of 38 years, after a brief battle with cancer.
Marcy will be lovingly remembered by her mother Frances Maddison; sister Shawna Davison (Dennis) and her cherished niece and nephews: Cali, Carter and Caiden; as well as countless friends and family.
Marcy was an active member of the Canadian Armed Forces. She was a former member of 2nd Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery; 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group and was currently serving with 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. She served two tours in former Yugoslavia and two tours in Afghanistan.
Marcy will be laid to rest with full military honours on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa, Ontario. There will be a Celebration of Life held in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Edmonton Garrison in the WO's & Sgt's Mess in the Elhorn Room. The Regimental Service will be held in early December at Canadian Forces Base Shilo, Manitoba (details to follow).
