An Angel amongst us...

How is it that I never saw your wings
when you were here with me?
When you closed your eyes and soared
to the Heavens I could hear the
faint flutter of you wings as you left. Your body no longer on this side, your spirit here eternally I see your halo shine.
I close my eyes and your smiling face
surround me in my saddest moments and my happiest times.

Mom and my angel... God has given you your assignment, always my mother forever my angel. God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So He wrapped His arms around you, and whispered, “Come unto me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through,
And so He gave you rest. I hear God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.
So when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain. I could not wish you to come back to suffer that all again.
You fly into my dreams and when I am asleep
I feel your wings brush against my face wiping away the tears I shed since I can no longer hold
you in my arms but in my heart...

Mom you earned those wings and you will always be my angel eternal.
