S/Sgt RCMP (Ret'd) David Sear

December 29, 1936 -  August 3, 2018

After a courageous battle with cancer, Dave passed away in Ottawa on Friday, August 3, 2018. He is survived by his cherished daughter Cathy Robitaille (Brent). Predeceased by his loving wife Frances “Fran” Sear. Will be greatly missed by his granddaughters Katelyn, Miriam and Lydia and by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Son of the late Roy and Frances Sear.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors on the 5 north-west and 6 west at the Ottawa General Hospital, especially Karen Briggins and Dr. MacRae. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing nurses and doctors at Elisabeth Bruyère, Palliative Care Unit, your caring and compassion will be cherished forever.

Family and Friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 9 a.m. until the time of Service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 11 a.m., followed by interment in the National Memorial Cemetery of the RCMP, located at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Bruce Denniston Bone Marrow Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
