October 8, 1929 -  August 23, 2018

SACHDEVA, Roshan Lal. Passed away peacefully in his 88th year on August 23, 2018. Beloved husband of Sarla for 65 years. Adored father of Neena (Pritam), Rajeev (Snigdha), and Gita (Brian). Cherished and admired grandfather of Sameer (Prenya), Manisha, Sonia, Vanita, Neel, Talia, Mia and Annika. Roshan was a brilliant Engineer and Accountant who worked tirelessly to have a successful career in Canada for the advancement of his family. He was a proud and appreciative Canadian with a kind and gentle heart. He will be missed deeply by many. A special thank you to the staff at the St. Patrick’s Nursing home. A service to celebrate Roshan’s life will be held on Sunday August 26, 2018 at 3 PM at the Beechwood Cemetary, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa. Reception to follow.

Roshan uncle (Mamaji) though was the furthest in terms of distance from us all, he was the closest and dearest to us all from amongst all our relatives.
God bestowed him with some very powerful qualities traits and skills that made him a stand out.
He was wise, intelligent and knowledgeable.
After having moved to Canada in the 50's, he never forgot his humble begining and difficult childhood. He made the best of the limited opportunities and excelled academically.
He was very thoughtful and caring.
He valued people. Lived a very simple but purposeful life. Managed funds and finances wisely and had a magnanimous heart when it came to giving and sharing.
We don't get to see and meet people of this kind often.
We were blessed, honoured and privileged to have him as our Mama-ji.
We will always hold him in high esteem and awe.
God bless his soul and grant him eternal peace.
