It is with much sadness having to say good-bye to Ron. Heartfelt condolences to his family at this sad time. Big man, big character, big heart; he will be missed.

My most sincere condolences to the family on their very tragic losses over the last several days. Both Ron and Reudi served their country with honour and distinction, they will be missed. Stand Easy...

Very sad news to hear. Not only was I in the 30th Field with Ron, but I got him playing rugby for the Indians. He was always cheery and fun to be around. Ron and I secretly ordered a pizza and had it delivered to the RSM at the regimental dinner, to much laughter and applause. We never told the RSM.....just in case.
Good-bye Ron, and good shooting.

I first met Ron at 30 RCA 1983, a man with a good heart and a great sense of humour. He and I laughed hard many times together, I shall not forget him. Ubique
