Ronald Henry Sumner sadly passed away in Ottawa on August 15, 2017 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife Wendy (nee Ferguson), his children Julia, Pamela and Amanda, his grandchildren Laine, Paige, Ella, Ava and Jax.

After graduating with Honors in Economics from Bishops University, he obtained a MBA (Finance) from Western University. He had a lengthy and successful career in Finance as the Executive Vice President/CFO and Member of the Board of Directors for Repap Enterprises Inc., as well as for Export Development Canada where he worked his way from a Loan Officer to Senior Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman. His two loves in life were his family and his work.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Scott Morgan and his team at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre for their compassionate and exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Prostrate Cancer Canada.
