In Celebration of

Richard G. Knapp

April 5, 1936 -  October 1, 2016

Knapp, Richard Gordon, April 5, 1936 - October 1, 2016.

Surrounded by his loving family, in the arms of his beloved wife Carol.

A graduate of Bishop's and Queens Universities (MBA), Richard had a long and successful career in the private and public sectors. In retirement, he pursued his passions for duplicate bridge, travel and spending winters in Anna Maria, Florida, where he formed deep friendships over many years.

His intelligence, humour, warmth and genuine interest in people was treasured by family and his extended community of friends. He was a deeply kind man, quietly helpful to many.

Cherished by his wife Carol, they shared more than 30 years of happiness and a deep abiding love. Dear Father to his three daughters: Tambrae Knapp (Stephen Walker); Jennifer Knapp and Stephanie Muir (Dave Muir). When he married Carol, he became a loving Father to her daughter, Shannon LaBelle. He was a proud Papa to ten grandchildren: Tambrae's daughters India and Isobel Walker, Stephanie's children Michael Knapp, Jennifer Dixon, and Heather, Rosemary and Olivia Muir, and Shannon's children Sarah, Emma-Rose and Cole Robinson. He is survived by his siblings: Barbara Lewis, William Knapp and Liz Knapp, and many nieces and nephews.

Loving someone deeply gives you courage"

I remember his love of the Rod and Reel Pier and playing dominoes on Mondays at 4 PM with his friend George. Of course I loved his political views and I wish he could vote in our next election. I will miss him. Carol, I hope we will see you soon.
Love, Joan
