Peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 28, 2017 in the presence of his wife at the Montford Hospital, at the age of 57. Born in Buckingham, Quebec on Feb. 12, 1959. Richard worked in roofing and construction. He loved to play pool and go fishing. Enjoyed music, hockey, wrestling and nature. Known by his neighbours as a mechanic and handyman. A caring and generous soul with a sense of humour.

Treasured son of the late Armand Norman Desjardins and late Pearl Leclair. Beloved husband of Irene Donaldson and loving father of Rachel, Ryan and Carina. Cherished grandfather of Darien and Mason. Loving brother of Albert, the late Lucille (Armand), Fernand (Della), Leona (Raoul), Michel (Edith) and Elizabeth.
Loving remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkwood Presbyterian Church, 10 Chesterton Drive, Ottawa on Saturday, February 18th at 12 (noon).
