CLOUTIER, René J. A. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved husband and best friend of Stella, married almost 63 years. Cherished father of Renée (John McKenna), Marie-Josée (Gilles Lebel) and Pierre (Cliff Curley). Devoted grandfather of Meaghen McKenna; Kyle Lebel (Josette Kodsi), Jessica Lebel (Christian Gibeault) and great-grandfather of Xavier, Liam, Nève and one on the way. Dear brother of Yves (Yvette), Marielle (late André Beaulieu), Father Gérard Cloutier and Paul-Emile. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Family and friends may pay their respects at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue) on Thursday, August 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday after 10 a.m. A funeral service will be celebrated in Beechwood's Sacred Space at on Friday, August 3 at 11 a.m., followed by interment in the National Military Section. In memory of René, donations to the Perley & Rideau Veteran's Health Centre or to the Alzheimer Society are appreciated. Messages of condolence can be shared at www.beechwoodottawa.ca.

René was such a big supporter of his community both as an employee of the City of Gloucester and in his retirement. People like René are few and far apart and he will be sadly missed. My sympathy to his family and friends and may you rest in peace René.
