OOMEN, Peter
Born in the Netherlands in July 17, 1931 and passed away on April 8, 2016 at the Maycourt Hospice while under their tender care. Peter is survived by his wife Sherrill, his three sons: Raymond, Dennis and Michael, his stepchildren Debbie, Mark, Sandi, Christine and Tracey and by his adored 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Peter was a long time Civil Servant, a member of the Legion (Bell’s Corners) and a member of the National Press Club. Here one could find Peter with his friends and co-workers enjoying good conversation, good food and some cool jazz. A Remembrance Celebration will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremations Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue (East of Vanier Parkway) on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. Donation to the Queesnway Carleton Cancer Unit of the Hospice Care Ottawa would be appreciated.
