Neil Parker Porteous passed away peacefully after a short battle with pneumonia on Friday April 08, 2016. Predeceased by his loving parents Beverley J. Featherstone (nee Sheekey) and Neil A. Porteous. He will be fondly remembered by friends & family, especially his two sisters, Patricia Watts (Edgar) and Wendy Porteous. Beloved Uncle to Matthew, Anastasia, Mark, Andrew, Lisa, Dan, Caroline, Kaeli and Ellen. A memorial service will be held on Sat April 30th (12 noon) at Beechwood Cemetery followed by a graveside blessing and burial. Visitation with the family at 11:00 to share "remember when" stories. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Epilepsy Canada would be greatly appreciated. We are sincerely grateful for those who called to share personal memories with Neil before his passing. A heartfelt thanks to Colleen Gariepy for her unconditional love & friendship to Neil & family, especially as we said our final goodbyes. A very special thank-you to Al Pollock for his kindness, generosity, friendship & support to Neil throughout the years. We will be forever grateful.
