Nadine, aged 51, daughter of feu Micheline Bouchard and feu Bernard Swanlund, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 11th of January, supported by her loving family after a valiant battle with cancer. Deeply mourning her passing are her mother Michelle, her sisters Liane and Julie, and her brothers Paul (Jennifer Middlemiss) and Eric. She will be missed by her nephews and nieces; Arthur Joseph (AJ), Jean Pierre, Stéphanie, Addyson and Mya; her aunt Thérèse Martineau and cousin Chantal Lemire; her aunts, uncles and cousins of the Bouchard family. We wish to thank the special friends who supported Nadine throughout, especially Karissa and Maria. The family is also grateful to CCAC and Bayshore Home Care. A special thank you to her nurse Max, her oncologists Dr Susan Dent and Dr JM Caudrelier; as well as Dr Hesham Abdelbary, who performed miracle surgeries that enabled her to walk; and her GP Dr. André Gauthier. Our heartfelt thanks also go to family friend Susan Batista, who constantly provided comfort, support and guidance, as well as to TOH Clinical Manager, Maureen McGrath, and her team at the Ottawa Hospital.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Nadine's life at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be sent to the Hospice at May Court in Ottawa, whose staff provided great comfort and friendship to Nadine.
