In Celebration of
Michael Tucceri
June 12, 1968 -
April 9, 2016
Michael Arthur Tucceri, 47, of Ottawa, died April 9, 2016 following his battle with lung cancer. He was born June 12, 1968 in Ottawa, and is survived by his parents Anthony and Darlene (Deault) of Ottawa; his brother Sean also of Ottawa, sister-in-law Joanna and his nephew, Chase. He is survived by several aunts (Teresa, Lorraine, Beverly (his Godmother), Carolanne, Colleen, Debbie), uncles (Donald, Kevin) and many wonderful cousins. Michael - now in Heaven - is reunited with his beloved grandparents Trevor and Jean Robinson of Pembroke, his uncle Gary and his best friend Angel (his loyal companion Doberman).
Michael was a thoughtful, caring and unselfish young man who loved his family first and foremost. He possessed a wonderful smile, which along with his warm and sparkling eyes, made him a person that you just wanted to be with. His kindness and generosity were one of his many traits. Always available and willing to help those in need, he quite often did without to see others less fortunate happy.
To say that Michael loved life and lived it to its fullest would be an understatement. His adventures took him to memorable destinations in Africa, Asia, Australia and the Caribbean. As a professional transport driver, he had the opportunity to travel across Canada and throughout most of the United States. One to never let obstacles get in the way, his dedication to his profession as an instructor at the Canada Heavy Equipment College in Kitchener, saw him successfully graduate his final students a day before being hospitalized.
Life without Michael will never, ever be the same but, having had him in our lives for this brief period of time has made our lives richer, happier and more blessed.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa (866-990-9530) on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to visit from 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Lung Cancer Canada, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be much appreciated by the family.
