Passed away peacefully, with his loving wife Laura Wooldridge by his side on Wednesday, August 15, 2018; age 70 years. Beloved father of Jennifer Dumoulin and Caitlin Dumoulin (Derek McStravick). Cherished grandfather of Kieran, Lily and Gemma. Brother of Juliette Girard (late Jacques), Maurice (Denise), Denis, François and late Daniel. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Jeannette Barre. Will be also sadly missed by many nieces nephews cousins and friends. Gilbert was a member of the R22eR, Military Police, Canadian Corps Commissioners and the Legion Branch 632 (Orleans). The family would like to thank the staff and Doctors at the Elisabeth Bruyere Continuing Care Centre for their exceptional care, a special thank you to Gilbert’s nurse Sylvain.

Funeral Arrangements under the care and direction of Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services. An Interment with Military Honours will take place on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Armed Forces located at Beechwood Cemetery, followed by a Reception. At Gilbert’s request, please attend in casual dress. For those who wish to make a donation in memory may do so towards Military Police for The Blind Children or to C.H.E.O would be appreciated by the family.
