Lorne Hemphill

August 9, 1933 -  March 15, 2017

Maj. Lorne E. Hemphill (Retired), 83, passed peacefully Wednesday, March 15 with his loving daughter Shari by his side. He is survived by his wife Fay Hemphill, children Shari Southin (Ted) and Richard Hemphill, and grandchildren Tara (Skyler) Bulley, and Carlie Southin. He will be sadly missed by many dear friends. Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood, Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa from 12:30pm on Monday, March 20, until time of Memorial Service in the Sacred Space at 2:30pm. For those who wish, memorial contributions in Lorne’s memory to your charity of choice would be appreciated.

Dear Lorne will sadly be missed by his family. A friendly, sweet gentleman. I will always have fond memories of Lorne.
He is in a better place than he was of late on earth. Heaven will treat him well.
My sincere condolences to all of Lorne's family and friends, especially Shari , Ted, Tara and Carlie. I know he will always hold a very special and loving place in your hearts and memories.
