La famille Parent a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Madame Liliane Parent (née Dubé) décédée le 29 novembre à Ottawa à l'âge de 92 ans. Elle était la fille de feu Arthur J.L. Dubé et de feu Marie-Claire Raymond. Elle était l'épouse de feu Fernand L. Parent. Elle fut prédécédée par ses soeurs Jeanine (Victor Vallières) et Denyse, et son frère André (Ghislaine Sabourin). Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Suzanne (Alvin Crosby), Gisèle (Michael O'Brien), Gilles (Johanne Morin) et Raymond (Bich-Le Truong), cinq petits-enfants: Mathieu (Néomie Duval), Nicolas, Martin (Sophie Lebrun), Patrick et Daniel, ainsi qu’un arrière-petit-fils Damien Parent. Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses frères Claude Dubé (Kathy Krywicki) et Jacques Dubé ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousines et ami(e)s.

Pour ceux et celles qui ont témoignés ses aventures de la vie, ils/elles se souviendront de son amour de la lecture, son sens d'humour, son appréciation des artistes de l'âge de la renaissance, sa joie des voyages à l'aventure avec papa, sa tolérance et amour de notre ménagerie de chiens, chats, iguane, poissons, poussins et son grand dévouement aux plantes de maison. Le seuil des fenêtres en étaient toujours pleines, un bon défi pour ceux qui nettoyaient.

Son dévouement à la famille demeure aujourd'hui source de fierté et d'inspiration pour ses enfants et petits-enfants. Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu au printemps. Vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à une charité de votre choix. La famille désire remercier le personnel du Manoir Portobello et celui de la Résidence Chapel Hill à Orléans pour les bons soins qui lui ont été prodigués dans ses dernières années.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Liliane Parent (née Dubé) on November 29, 2017 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Fernand Parent. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur Dubé and Marie-Claire (née Raymond), her sisters Jeanine (Victor Vallières), Denyse, and her brother André (Ghislaine Sabourin). She is survived by her children: Suzanne (Alvin Crosby), Gisèle (Michael O'Brien), Gilles (Johanne Morin), Raymond (Bich-Le Truong), as well as grandsons Mathieu (Néomie Duval), Nicolas, Martin (Sophie Lebrun), Patrick and Daniel, and great grandson Damien Parent. She is also survived by her brothers Claude Dubé (Kathy Krywicki) and Jacques Dubé, as well as beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will remember her love of reading, her sense of humour, her appreciation for art, particularly renaissance painters, her joy in travel adventures with our father, her acceptance and love for the menagerie of dogs, cats, tropical fish, iguana and chicks that we brought home, and, not least, her many flowering house plants that filled the window areas. There was always a small cutting growing here and there, much to the chagrin of those who had to clean around them.

Her steadfast devotion to her family remains a source of pride and inspiration to her children and grandsons.
A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring. Those wishing to make a donation may choose a charity of their choice. The family would like to thank the staffs of Portobello Manor and the Chapel Hill Residence in Orléans for their devoted care over the past few years.
