In Celebration of

Lilian Patricia Stothart

Lilian Patricia Stothart (née Ritchie) daughter of the late Gertrude Jones and the late Harold H. Ritchie, born in Newcastle, N.B., passed peacefully with family at her side in Ottawa on August 30th, 2018.

Patricia was the beloved wife of 69 years of the late David Stothart. She and David were the parents of five treasured children, Art (Sylvie), Judy (Gary Berner), Ritchie (Mae), Janet (Robert Moriartey), and the late Paul (Karen). Patricia will be missed and fondly remembered by her twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She earned her B.Sc. from the University of New Brunswick and enjoyed a career at Carleton University working for different professors in different departments.

Pat was a passionate cross-country skier, bicyclist and international traveler. She skied countless marathons in Canada and the U.S. with dear friends and remembered them all with many humorous stories. At the age of 86, Patsy was still enthusiastically biking the trails of the Ottawa Valley.

Pat and Dave were both A.C.B.L. Life Masters, playing bridge together for decades across Canada and the U.S.

Patricia will be interred at a later date, at Beechwood Cemetery after a private family service. In memoriam donations to the Bruyère Foundation would be appreciated by her loving family.

Hello

I was sorry to read about your mom and, belatedly, your dad.

I have lots of great memories of being in the Stothart household in the 60s and 70s. Your parents were always so welcoming. One memory that stands out is your mom's homemade donuts. I remember what a delicious treat they were!

Please accept my sympathies.

Patti
