Cradled in the loving arms of daughter Dixie-Lee as her Mom soared to heaven, with foster son Joseph close by, and Kaydie her grandaughter for her Nightingale touch. Predeceased by her parents Irene (née Kelly) and Gilmore W Armstrong. Widow of Walter Rabbe and George Penteluk. Beloved mother of Thomas, Frank, the late Kirk (Nicole) Brenda-Lee (the late Kenny) Dixie-Lee (Dwight), Coleen, Sheila (Loyd). Step-mother to the late Lorna Rabbe (Dwane), Richard and the late Holly. Proud and cherished grandmother to Kim (Ron), Jody (Gregg), Jason M, Trevor (Tammy), James, Dixie, Krystal, Kaydie (Tony), Kelly (Robert), Luther, Heaven Leigh, LaDorna, Jessee, Nicki, Jason L, Kerri; great-grandmother to Harper, Shayla, Cali, Riley-Peter, Nathan, Trystan, Jennifer, Brandon (Kelly), Josh and great-great grandmother to Clara, Colten and Travis. Will be dearly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Mom loved, family and her foster Children who were welcomed into her home. LaDorna dedicated 53 years of fostering and nuturing over 500 foster children. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She received recognition from many Organizations, Cities, Societies and Countries for her contribution and dedication to Fostering and mentoring.

Friends and family are invited to pay respects at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 400 Sparks St. Ottawa, on Saturday January 12, 2019 after 9:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by reception at the Church Hall.
