Joseph Roy Cote passed away at home on May 7, 2018 at the age of 53. Joseph is predeceased by his father Philip Cote. Joseph is survived by his loving wife Amanda Burgess. They were married in Ottawa on November 4, 2017 following a seven year romance and a 20 year deep friendship. Joseph is lovingly remembered by his wife Amanda of Ottawa; mother Susan Cote of Woodstock; brothers Douglas Cote of Woodstock, Richard (Gillian) Cote of London, Robert Cote of Woodstock; nephew Alexander Cote of London and niece Cynthia Cote of London.

Joseph was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on March 9, 1965. He graduated from Cairine Wilson Secondary School in 1984 and went on to earn a Degree in Computer Engineering from Waterloo University in 1989. He worked as a network engineer at Nokia, including its former entities Lucent, Alcatel and Newbridge Networks in Kanata. He is inventor of over 8 patents worldwide.
