November 6, 1952 - November 10, 2016

Passed away peacefully at Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital on November 10, 2016, at the age of 64. Survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Nancy Peters, children Jonathan (Jen) and Tim (De). Grandfather to Owen, Sydney and Leah. Thank you to the staff of Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital, 5th floor, for their outstanding care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and scattering of ashes will be done privately. A celebration of John's life will take place at Beechwood National Cemetery in the Sacred Space, 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, November 26th at 1 pm. John and I grew up together, went to grade school, high school and University together and were best friends all the while. Growing up we drifted apart but always remained friends. I was deeply shocked by his passing an offer my condolences to his family and the many who called him friend.
