In Celebration of

Jennifer Ann Connolly

April 2, 1934 -  December 18, 2016

Jennifer Ann Connolly (nee Matthews)
April 2, 1934 – December 18, 2016.

Jennifer Connolly, wife of Robert E. Connolly, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec 18, 2016. She leaves behind a vast extended family, whose lives she touched in her gentle, quiet way: her brothers Wilmot (Judy), Bob, Don (Iain) and John (Pierrette) and their extended families; her children Mark (Pamela Oakley) Ingram, Rick (Janice Liebe) Ingram, Don (Jackie) Ingram, and Janet (Mike) Stooke; her step-children Frances Paquette, David (Sylvia) Johnson, David Connolly, Mary-Anne (Mike) Ryan, Peter (Isabel) Connolly, Janet (Werner) Hader, Mark (Heather) Connolly, and Clare Connolly; her grandchildren Charlie, James, Samantha, Erika, Leigh, Ben, and Sarah; her step-grandchildren Kasandra (George), Joshua, Bryanna, Tina (Grant), Jeff (Yuli), Jeannie (Jeremy), Patrick, Andrew, Derek, Erica, Greg (Jessica), Nick, Megan; her step-great-grandchildren (& great-great) Mel (Mikey, Liam, Annika), Josh, Holly, Diego, Daniel, Cierra, Jordan, Emma, Avery, Taegan, Kalista, and Brooke.

Jennifer lived most of her life in Ottawa but spent significant amounts of time in Almonte, ON, Palmetto, FL, and Sidney, BC. She also spent a lot of memorable moments at Red Pine Camp, on many dance floors, in a lot of art studios and on the decks of the many boats that she and Robert sailed. Jennifer was an avid reader and instilled this love in her kids and grandchildren. As a tribute to her time at Radcliffe College, she acted as the president of the Ottawa chapter of the Harvard Alumni Association. Through them, she travelled a lot and made some significant friends.

She will always be remembered for her kindness, and her inexhaustible love for her family and many friends.

Friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 12 noon until the time of Service at 1 p.m., followed by a reception.

To all the family involved, Rick & I send our condolences. While driving in Nova Scoctia with Uncle Bob a few years ago, I can recall how his face light up as soon as he spoke of Jennifer. She was someone who made him very happy and he recounted so many happy memories of shared adventures together. May she rest in eternal peace.
