Jean Prachter

Passed away peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre on June 2, 2016. Survived by her husband Wilfred after 64 years of marriage. Born in Germany, she came to Canada in 1952 where they got married in Montreal. Jean was a loving and loyal wife who supported her husband throughout his career in the legal profession. She was originally an interior decorator, artistically talented, a gracious hostess, gourmet cook, interested in fashion, history and politics. She was loyal to her friends and travelled extensively with her husband. She loved her home and country residence, both of which she had decorated with great taste and feeling. Jean was the owner of many Dachshunds over 30 years, all of which loved and adored their mistress. Private funeral arrangements.
