It is with heavy hearts that our young son, Jason Renato Simon was called to heaven on February 15th, 2016. Jason was born October 10th, 1995, Windsor, Ontario.

Jason grew up in Windsor. He attended St. Christopher Grade School and Holy Names Catholic High School. Jason was studying at Carleton University, majoring in Criminology. He is survived by his parents Margit and Attila, sister Patty (Matt), brother Patrick, his grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. He leaves behind a very dear friend, Brianne Rupay, along with many other friends in Canada, USA and internationally.

Jason enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was a true nature lover and loved to travel. His passion was snowboarding, photography & playing with his cat Sockrates.

Jason was truly one of the finest people I've encountered in my life. He was very grounded. He always helped me see many things in ways I had never thought about them. I wouldn't be who I am today without him. I owe him that and much more.

The Simon family will be kept in my prayers. May his soul rest in peace.

I'm sitting here pondering about the Europe trip and how we were walking through a market and he really wanted a top hat. that was his goal to get a top hat while in Europe. So we walked around for seemed like all day and finally we stopped at a boutique place and he found one. This black top hat, poorly made and expensive even though you could tell the craftsmanship was terrible on it. But, it didn't matter, he wanted that top hat! I forget how much he paid but the smile on his face when he put it on was glowing. He rocked that top hat! And for that, that memory will remain in my heart. See you on the far side, Jason.
