Janine Pinard

September 13, 1936 - January 14, 2019

Passed away at home, surrounded by her family, after a short illness with ALS on Monday, January 14, 2019. Beloved wife of Gerald for 56 years. She will be missed by her daughters Carole Pinard (Thomas Fournier) and Chantale Pinard and her sister Louise Pilon of California. Janine began her career as a Registered Nurse specializing in Paediatrics. Having a lifelong interest in working with children, she retired from Andrew Fleck Children’s Services. Family and Friends are invited to visit at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa from 10 o’clock on Thursday, January 24 until the time of the Funeral Service in the Sacred Space at 11 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Snowsuit Fund (http://snowsuitfund.com/) would be appreciated.

- est décédée le lundi 14 janvier, à sa résidence, entourée de sa famille suite à un court combat contre la sclérose latérale amyotrophique. Épouse bien-aimée de Gérald pour 56 belles années, elle laisse ses filles; Carole Pinard (Thomas Fournier) et Chantale Pinard. Elle laisse également sa sœur Louise Pilon de Californie. Janine débuta sa carrière comme infirmière autorisée spécialisée en pédiatrie. Passionnée depuis toujours par son travail avec les enfants, elle prit sa retraite de l’organisation Andrew Fleck pour la protection de l’enfance.
La famille recevra parents et amis au Centre commémoratif national Beechwood, 280 av Beechwood, Ottawa, le jeudi 24 janvier à compter de 10h. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’Espace sacrée à 11h. Pour ceux qui le désirent, au lieu de fleurs, des dons à l’organisme Le Fond Habineige (http://snowsuitfund.com/fr/), seraient appréciés.

My condolences to Gerry and his family on the passing of his wife. I did not know Janine, but I worked with Gerry for a number of years at Colonel By and am saddened by his loss.
