Peacefully with family at her side at the Ottawa General Hospital. Daughter of the late Bill and Gyda MacLean (née Hanson). Loving mother to Susan (David) White, Barb (Mike) Johnson, Deb Dufault-Belcher, Jon (Heather) Belcher and adoring Granny to Caitlyn, Alex, Brandon, Gavin, Keagan, Dylan, and Isabella. Cherished sister to Barbara (Ron) Robinson and aunt to Elise and Pamela. Janet was an avid tennis player and golfer and was happiest on the court or green with friends. She was very proud of her nursing background and would recount many stories of what nursing was like in the ‘60’s. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of 5 east at the General and the Palliative Care team of Drs. Enright, Dionne and Nurse Sylvie. Friends are invited to visit Beechwood, Cemetery, Funeral and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave. (east of Vanier Parkway) to Celebrate Janet’s Life on July 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. Donations in memory of Janet can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
