Passed away at home Thursday July 28, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Barbara. Loving father to Timothy (Carole), Thomas (Susan Sagan) and Trudy (Michel Ménard). Proud grandfather of Jesse, Ryan, James and Sean. Dear brother in law of Dorothy (Laurie Blanchard), Ronald Beshara (Patricia), Belinda (Albert Thibodeau) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Frederic G. Norton and Velma (née Branton) and his brother Tom. Special thanks to CCAC and Saint Elizabeth Nursing Personnel for the compassionate care provided.

Friends are invited to gather at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre – Borden and Fleming Suites, 280 Beechwood Ave. (east of Vanier Parkway) Saturday August 13, after 12 noon for the graveside cemenony with Military Honours which will be held at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the Borden and Fleming Suites.

In memoriam donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.

Our relationship with Jim revolved around SHUFFLEBOARD, the sport all of us enjoyed. Jim was a staunch and willing supporter.
Notwithstanding serious health problems in the last several years, Jim maintained a positive outlook. He will be missed.
