DONALD, Helen Constance

Passed away surrounded by family, at the Central West Hospice, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Duncan Stewart Donald. Cherished mother of Lesley Donald. Loving grandmother of Mandy (Craig), Cindy, and Ashley. Great-grandmother of Jessica, Aidan, Paige, Cassia, Ainsley, Everett and Savannah. Daughter of the late William Matthews and the late Marjorie (Brannen) Matthews.

Helen was a strong, independent, devoted and caring woman; who will be dearly missed.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa). A private family service will take place at a later date.

For those who wish to make a donation in Helen’s memory you may do so to the Ottawa Humane Society or to Central West Hospice.

Dear Lesley: We read this morning of your Mom's passing. I know that she has had a struggle these last few years. You too, have had much to deal with. You have your girls and their families and that will get you through all of this. Take care and you are in our thoughts.
