Edward Lawrence Hartley at the age of 80, passed peacefully at home on October 1,
2017, after a short battle with cancer. Son of the late Honor and Lawrence Hartley.
Husband of 59 years to Isabel (Garner). Father of Deborah (Chris) and Michael.
Grandfather of Julian and Jasmine Tross. Brother of Leona and Lorne, pre-deceased by
Evelyn, Dorlene, Grant and Earl. Ed was a member of the Ottawa Fire Department for
38 years. Special thanks to Dr. Louise Coulombe for making his passing at home
possible.
A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1758 Alta Vista Drive,
Ottawa, at 11:00 am Thursday, October 5, 2017, to be followed by a reception. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
